Potato Soup!

I've been on the search for some new recipies.  I like crock pot recipies, they are fast and easy, especially if you prepair some stuff the night before.  Today I decided to make potato soup....with bacon!   It smelt so good in the house all day, I couldn't wait for dinner!  Once Kevin came home I couldn't wait to dig in!

YUM!

and of course lots of left overs! :D

And it wouldn't be a proper blog post if I didn't add at least one of my little munchkins in it.  While Alex was napping Ryan asked me to build a train tack for him.  I try to make them big and twirly but his daddy makes them the best.  I didn't do too bad, by the look on his face he was pretty happy :)

Tuesays are Busy!

Tuesdays are busy for me again...not like they weren't already with my own 2 boys but i'm again watching my friends son and his new (well not so new anymore) brother.  I used to watch Harper before our older boys were born.  So i've gone from 2 kids to 4 kids on tuesdays :)  Ryan and Harper are 2 months apart and Alex and Quentin are 10 days apart.  So my day is filled with  a lot of crazy sillyness!

Here's a pic from lunch time.  It's weird getting kids 4 plates ready for lunch and they like all different things so it takes a bit longer to get it ready.  They are all so cute sitting at the big table eating together :)

Lonsdale Quay

Today I decided to take the boys somewhere different.  I decided to take them for a ride on the sea bus.  They'd never been on it before and I thought it was something they'd enjoy.

Just before going on the sea bus we have to go over and over pass.  Ryan was looking out the window and saw all the train tracks and asked me to take a picture for him.  This kid sure loves his trains!

As we arrived to the sea bus it was just loading but Ryan had to use the washroom so we missed that one....that was ok with me because I like to be in the front of the line and get the window seat at the front for the boys.  They were so excited when it was finally out turn....Ryan kept asking a ton of  questions about the sea bus and how does it drive on water lol!

I miss this scenery, I used to work in one of those buildings....good fun times :)

We arrived at the Quay and walked around outside for a bit.  Ryan loved looking out into the water.

The boys liked the fountain area, they would have jumped in if i let them...for now it was just another picture shot :p

After hanging around ouside we went inside the Quay.

We walked around and checked out some shops.  We arrived to one corner of the Quay and one one side i noticed a little play area for kids....then i turned around and there was another, but an actual play area...like a house with a slide and a ball pit. The boys loved it!

Let's just say they didn't want to leave.

After spending a few hours there it was time to go home...back on the sea bus again...again the boys were excited.

We had  a good long day doing something different.  I will definatley bring the boys again!

Whistler!

We went up to Whistler for the weekend with my Dad and step mom.  Unfortunately Kevin couldn't come as he had to work :(  The place we stayed at was super nice.  I want the bedroom, the bed and the bathroom lol!  I shared the King size bed with the boys but only had the edge...such bed hogs.  I also never got to use the jacuzzi tub...those boys would never let me have a bath alone lol!  I think the last time I had a bath was when I was really pregnant with Ryan and that was uncomfortable.  Anyways I loved the extra space we had for the little time we had it.

My boys testing out the new bed, just like it's thier own!

This was only half of the bathroom, shower and toilet were behind me....who wouldn't love a bathroom this big?!

Reily and Alex decided to chill in the box of the foot rest lol!

I went back to check on Ryan and he was totally chill'in on the big bed.  He didn't even flinch when i came in a took his picture.

Our first night we just hung out at the hotel and then went down to the pool so the boys could burn off some energy before bed.  I didn't bring my camera with me to the pool but I wish I had, the boys had a great time.

The next day we headed up to the Gondolas and went all the way up to the top. of the mountain.  At the top there was still a bit of snow so of course we had to take the boys to play in it.  How cool, enjoying the snow in the summer!

Look Mom.....

SNOW!!!

My dad climbed up and decided to "ski" back down :p  I did this also...and it was fun, but my butt was sore and wet after lol....no i'm not posting pics :p

After we hung out in the snow for a bit we headed to the Peak to Peak Gondola.  This thing is pretty cool and scarey at the same time.   Here's some neat info on it.

Breaking world records connecting mountains!
Spanning the distance between Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains, the new world record-breaking PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola is a breathtaking, 4.4-kilometre journey to infi nite possibilities. Redefi ning the Whistler summer experience by creating limitless new ways to get up-close-and-personal with the mountains, this engineering marvel breaks three world records.
  • Longest unsupported span of 3.024 kilometres
  • Highest lift of its kind at 436 metres above the valley floor
  • Completes the longest continuous lift system on the globe
I don't know that Kevin would have gone on it, he hates heights, but knowing me I would have made him lol!

Ryan excited and waiting patiently!

The boys LOVED it!

Momma and Alex!

I shot this just in time as the other one was going past us!

CHEESE!

After a long day we headed back to the hotel for dinner.  After dinner I gave the boys a bath in the huge jacuzzi tub...they totally loved it!  They had so much space and water they almost didn't know what to do lol!  I would have loved to enjoy it but I never got a chance...I never got to enjoy the king sized bed either because i my little bed hogs lol!

The next day it was time to pack up and go home...  Wish we could have stayed longer :)

Fun at the pool with friends.

Today I took the boys to Whiterock to visit our friends from preschool.  They used to live really close to us but they bought a Town House in Whiterock so now it's a bit of a treck to see them.  It's all worth it though as the boys play really well together and I love seeing how much my friends daughter has grown and changed since my last visit.

This is my friends daughter Anya, last time I saw here she was about 3 months and so tiny, she has changed so much since I last saw her.  Isn't she a cutie?!!

We took the kids to the pool today, they had lots of fun.  Alex is a major water baby, he has no fear in the pool which is a bit scary.  I'd love to get my boys in swimming lessons so that they can learn about water safety and can learn to swim.  The kids played in the pool for about 2 hours and of course they didn't want to leave when I said it was time to go.  It's too bad that summer is pretty much over, no more pool time but plenty more play dates!

Ryan loves this scooter and does well on it, i'd love to get him one!

Alex enjoying the hot tub!

Oliver jugging some water after a good swim.

Alex having a little time out for running around the pool!
