Whistler!

We went up to Whistler for the weekend with my Dad and step mom.  Unfortunately Kevin couldn't come as he had to work :(  The place we stayed at was super nice.  I want the bedroom, the bed and the bathroom lol!  I shared the King size bed with the boys but only had the edge...such bed hogs.  I also never got to use the jacuzzi tub...those boys would never let me have a bath alone lol!  I think the last time I had a bath was when I was really pregnant with Ryan and that was uncomfortable.  Anyways I loved the extra space we had for the little time we had it.

My boys testing out the new bed, just like it's thier own!

This was only half of the bathroom, shower and toilet were behind me....who wouldn't love a bathroom this big?!

Reily and Alex decided to chill in the box of the foot rest lol!

I went back to check on Ryan and he was totally chill'in on the big bed.  He didn't even flinch when i came in a took his picture.

Our first night we just hung out at the hotel and then went down to the pool so the boys could burn off some energy before bed.  I didn't bring my camera with me to the pool but I wish I had, the boys had a great time.

The next day we headed up to the Gondolas and went all the way up to the top. of the mountain.  At the top there was still a bit of snow so of course we had to take the boys to play in it.  How cool, enjoying the snow in the summer!

Look Mom.....

SNOW!!!

My dad climbed up and decided to "ski" back down :p  I did this also...and it was fun, but my butt was sore and wet after lol....no i'm not posting pics :p

After we hung out in the snow for a bit we headed to the Peak to Peak Gondola.  This thing is pretty cool and scarey at the same time.   Here's some neat info on it.

Breaking world records connecting mountains!
Spanning the distance between Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains, the new world record-breaking PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola is a breathtaking, 4.4-kilometre journey to infi nite possibilities. Redefi ning the Whistler summer experience by creating limitless new ways to get up-close-and-personal with the mountains, this engineering marvel breaks three world records.
  • Longest unsupported span of 3.024 kilometres
  • Highest lift of its kind at 436 metres above the valley floor
  • Completes the longest continuous lift system on the globe
I don't know that Kevin would have gone on it, he hates heights, but knowing me I would have made him lol!

Ryan excited and waiting patiently!

The boys LOVED it!

Momma and Alex!

I shot this just in time as the other one was going past us!

CHEESE!

After a long day we headed back to the hotel for dinner.  After dinner I gave the boys a bath in the huge jacuzzi tub...they totally loved it!  They had so much space and water they almost didn't know what to do lol!  I would have loved to enjoy it but I never got a chance...I never got to enjoy the king sized bed either because i my little bed hogs lol!

The next day it was time to pack up and go home...  Wish we could have stayed longer :)

Fun at the pool with friends.

Today I took the boys to Whiterock to visit our friends from preschool.  They used to live really close to us but they bought a Town House in Whiterock so now it's a bit of a treck to see them.  It's all worth it though as the boys play really well together and I love seeing how much my friends daughter has grown and changed since my last visit.

This is my friends daughter Anya, last time I saw here she was about 3 months and so tiny, she has changed so much since I last saw her.  Isn't she a cutie?!!

We took the kids to the pool today, they had lots of fun.  Alex is a major water baby, he has no fear in the pool which is a bit scary.  I'd love to get my boys in swimming lessons so that they can learn about water safety and can learn to swim.  The kids played in the pool for about 2 hours and of course they didn't want to leave when I said it was time to go.  It's too bad that summer is pretty much over, no more pool time but plenty more play dates!

Ryan loves this scooter and does well on it, i'd love to get him one!

Alex enjoying the hot tub!

Oliver jugging some water after a good swim.

Alex having a little time out for running around the pool!

Library

Today I was trying to find something different to do with the boys and our new library was suppose to be opening this month so I checked there website and sure enough it opened today!  So I got the boys ready and off to the new library we went.

This place is huge!!  It looks like a big boat on the outside (still need a picture) and it's big and roomy on the inside.

When we first went in I went straight to the desk to get new library cards.  I hadn't had one in probably 5 or more years...ya I don't go to the library much lol, but for my kids i'll do anything.  We all got new library cards, even Alex has his own.  Ryan was super excited to have his own card and insisted on carrying it in his pocket.

The first place we hit was the kids section of course.  They don't have the shelved packed with books yet, but we got enough for our first visit.  The boys had more fun chillin in the little play area and checking out the peek a boo section (it's not called that, i just do lol)

This area is pretty neat, it has lots of different things to view in the little windows with questions and stuff.  I love the next picture...hehe

After that we headed to the video section where of course Ryan noticed the HUGE section of Thomas videos....oh man, more Thomas....  *sigh* lol

Alex enjoyed reading his Dego (Deigo) book. :)

After hanging out in the kids section for a while we checked out the other floors to see what they were like and the boys loved the top floor.  They loved looking out the huge window and seeing the skytrain go by every few minutes.  I think this is going to be there favorite spot at the library...mine to, it's nice and quiet :)

The boys stash from the library, not bad.

The new library is pretty cool and we all had a good time, we will definately come here a lot :)

Cuteness Alert!!!!!

I forgot to post these on here....goodness!!

Just a few pics of my little rockers!!! :)  I wish i would have used my good camera...these are from my cell phone...i wonder if these would print ok.

Daddy Time

Ryan spent the day with Kevin today.  Kevins been working a lot and Ryan misses him so instead of me taking him out to see my mom I told Kevin he should spend the day with him and i'll spend the day with Alex.

Kevin took Ryan went through Mc Donalds drive through and got some lunch for them both and went to a park and had a little picnic.  Kevin sent me pictures and Ryan just looked so happy to be spending time with his daddy.  After they had lunch they played in the park for a bit and at the park there was a train ride there so they went on that a few times.  Ryan loved it!!  He was so excited and telling me all about his day and showed me pictures when we saw each other again.

I spent the day with Alex and my mom.  We went downtown, looked in a few shops and then headed to Stanely Park and walked around.  I took Alex to the water park but he wasn't really interested in gettin wet....pretty weird for a water baby lol.  Maybe it was just a tad too cold for him, that water is pretty dam cold!  Oh well he still had fun walking around everywhere. :)

(I think my kids should be models ;)...i think they are just the cutest things in this world!)

Finally an Update!!

Finally updating!  I know it's late better late than never :p

July 31st we celebrated my baby cousin Leila's 2nd birthday.   Everyone had a good time eating, playing and swimming.

August 5th we took the boys to Golden Ears Park and went for a hike.  Ryan loved it and Alex wanted to run all over the place and take a detour through the other trails.  We got about half way through out hike and the boys were done and so I carried Alex back down in my baby carrier.  Ryan also wanted to be carried so Kevin did that job lol.  THAT was my workout for the day lol!
After we came back down we took the boys to the lake, they LOVED it and didn't want to leave.  I love that my boys aren't afraid of the water and love to get wet.

August 13th my mom and I went to the Crematoriam where my Great Grandmas ashes were spread.  The plaque with both my great grandparents names on it were supposed to be ready so we wanted to go and check it out.  There was a little confusion but all in all it was good to finally see there names on the wall together just like my Great Grandpa wanted, now they rest together again after 27 years. <3

August 18th, Kevins diploma finally arrived today!!!  I'm so proud of him for working so hard and going back to school.  It's been hard and stressful but it will be worth it.  He's been looking for work but no luck yet.  Please send some good luck vibes, and if you know anyone looking for a Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice let us know!! :)

August 17th we went to Cultas Lake.  A family picnic is held every year for my husbands sister work for those employed and retired.  Tons of families go, it's a crowded place but lots to do.  The boys had a good time running around, getting there faces painted and eating some good food.

August 19th , a day at the park again.  We gone to the park almost everyday since it's been sunny.

My handsome boys <3 <3

August 23rd  I took the boys to Toys R Us to have a look around.  We just live up the street from it so Ryan asks me to take him there when we go for a walk.  We had looked all over the store and as we were leaving I saw a wagon in the front in the clearance section.  I immediatly went towards it thinking why is this here, it can't be on sale.  I had been eyeing this exact wagon since Alex was born but it's costs over 200 bucks so there is no way i was ever going to get it.  I went up to it and turned it around and sure enough it had a 40 dollar price tag on it, I though NO WAY!  This can't be 40 bucks!  As I was looking at it I realized the canopy was broken, the seat covers and back storage bag were missing so that explained the sale price.  I literally stood there for 30 minutes deciding whether or not I should by this thing.  I always knew I wanted to buy a wagon for the boys so I texted Kevin and asked if I could get it, he said sure.  So I put it on hold since there was no way I could take it right away, plus I wanted Kevin to come and look at it to make sure it was something we should get.  At the end of the day we did get the wagon and my boys were super happy!

Everytime I tell Ryan to smile and get close to Alex he does this...lol, it looks like he's going to strangle his brother....so silly!

Then I tried to get another but Ryans eyes were closed....sigh!

The boys love there new wagon, I love it when they are happy, it makes me happy <3

August 24th  We were off to the park again....we go A LOT!  lol.   The boys played in the water park and then at the regular park right beside the water park.  2 parks in one, what could be better than that!
They played for a while and right before we left one of those darn ice cream trucks showed up.  Ryan was so excited and begged me for an ice cream but like usual i said no.  Ya, I know, i'm a party pooper.  I just don't feel the need to let my kids eat junk all the time...and besides those icecreams are fricken expensive.  Well anyways realizing that I do say no to that stuff a lot i decided to check what I had for change and lucky for him I had a toonie.  I told him to go up and see what he could get for 2 bucks.  The icecream man showed him what he could get and asked what color to choose.  It was just one of those regular popsicals that has 2 sticks and you break it in half.  So that was great, he was able to share it with Alex!!  So Ryan choose a purple one and I broke it in half and gave each boy one.  They were the happiest little kids in the playground lol, so happy that they got a popsical.  I love it when they get excited for treats that they don't get often.  Anyways the boys enjoyed there popsicals, they both had purple toungs while Alex also had purple hands and chin lol!

August 30th  HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEVIN!!!
We celebrated Kevins 32nd birthday....(gosh soon it'll be my turn:(

Whew!  I made it! Sorry it took a little longer than I expected to update.  I've been busy with the boys trying to soak up as much sun as we can get.  September is starting out nice, lets hope the weather stays nice a little while longer! :)

Working on updating!

It's been almost a month since I made my last post!  I've been so busy with the boys and doing other things that I haven't had time to update my blog.  Over the next few days I'll be getting pictures together and hopefully have my blog updated by Sunday at the latest....I hope lol!!
