Welcome to the World Greyson!

My friend Tanya had her baby boy at 34 weeks.  Greyson Winter gruszecki was born December 17  at 12:37 6.7 lbs born at 34 w and 2 days preemie, 21 inches long.  His due date was Jan 26 but decided to show up early...kind of a good think cause she was getting big!  Her pregnancy reminded me of mine with Ryan, my belly was growing and growing and I didn't know how much longer I could take, or if and when i was going to explode!

Tanya asked me to watch her other son while she was having Greyson so Graham stayed with us and played with the boys, they had a good time!  So fun to see all the boys playing together and giggling away :)

Lunch Time!

Showing there artistic side ;)

Snack and a movie ...Toy Story 3 ...of course!!

The afternoon after Greyson was born I got all the boys ready and headed downtown to see Tanya and the baby.  Ryan really wanted to see the baby but because he was born early he was in nicu so he wasn't allowed to go in.  He was sad :(  But I was happy, I got to see a new little baby...I love babies :)

Isn't Greyson adorable?!  I hope to take more pictures of him soon :)

Cookie Trees and Cupcakes!

It's that time again, time for lots of baking yummy goodies!

I found some cookie cutters to make a cookie tree with so I did that one night.  I used all but 2 of the biggest cookie cutters cause I ran out of dough but had just enough to make 4 trees which was perfect!  I liked how they turned out and can't wait to make more next year!

I made all 4 the same but will do different colors next year.

Thanks to pinterest...my new addicted site where there are tons of ideas from organization, to arts and crafts, to cooking and of course baking!  I found some cool ideas for christmas cupcakes this year and they were a big hit!

How awesome are these cupcakes?!!

These have to be the cutest cupcakes i've made to date!  I was really happy with how they turned out!

Painting!

I found a cool art project I did at preschool with all the kids and I wanted to make one at home with just the boys.  So Elvin helped mix up paint colors and we got to work.

I kind of let Alex do his own thing while I worked with Ryan on our project and brought Alex in when i needed him :)

I painted the boys hands and they stamped them onto canvas to resemble a tree, I added a star and a tree trunk .....

and bam, a handprint christmas tree!! I love it!!  This will be so great to pull out of the christmas box every year!!  Good memories!

Look, It's Buzz and Woody!!

OMG, are these not the cutest boys in the cutest pj's!!!  Love love love them!  They boy have a pair of Buzz and Woody, can't wait to see what they look like as the opposite characters!  ryan really suits Wooody and Alex really suits Buzz!

Elvin

Well, day 3 is better late than never!  Elvin made his apperance at the dinner table and joined the boys.  Ryan was happy to have him with us, but Alex didn't care too much.  I explaind why Elvin is here and that he watches to see if he's naughty or nice and reports back to Santa after he goes to sleep.  He was a bit confused...like really?  I like the Elf on the Shelf idea but I have to be honest it's hard to remember to do it lol!  This is the first year so we'll see how it goes.

After the boys went to bed Elvin decided to hop in the truck and go for a spin ;)  Not sure what the boys are going to think as it's my sleep in day tomorrow!  i'm sure they'll think it's funny :)  I hope I can keep up with the silly ideas, it does seem like a lot of fun.

Christmas Party

Kevin's work had a christmas party tonight, it was at the Vancouver World Trade and Convention Center.  It was nice inside, lots of people.  Kevin tried to find someone he knew, but that didn't go so well as there were a lot of people and he is new himself, he only started in September.

There were a few empty tables so we grabbed on of those and just waited for the dinner to start.  It started at about 6:15, they brought out soup first and started some videos on the company...some were funny but as they kept going it got really boring.  Dinner came along and they played videos of people who have been with the company 5 years plus and gave out awards, dessert came, and more videos and awards.  I have to say...as nice as I can, it SUCKED lol!  This was suppose to be a christmas party, not an awards ceremony...if this is how party's are i'm sure not missing a whole lot.  We wanted to leave right after dessert but we stuck it out to the end which thankfully was after about 10 minutes.  Then that's it, party over.........REALLY!  That's it...that's all??!!  I've been to some boring work partys but i think this was by far the worst.  I don't like big gatherings or work parties...especially if it's not a job that I work for...and this is a huge company so I was suprised that it was actually so boring!

Ok, well enough of my rant...good thing is I got to dress up, look my age instead of a mom in sweat pants and Kevin got to dress up and  wear a tie <3  lol.  I set up my camera and took a picture of Kevin and I before we left.... are we a cute couple! :p

<3

Santa!

Me and a friend took out boys to see Santa!  How cute are they?!  Actual Santa pics to come later ;)

Our Tree!

I was playing with the camera today, trying to get a good shot of the tree, but not just a normal shot, something like a WOW pic.  Well I got my "WOW" pic, I made my tree twinkle lol!  It took a while for me to get a good shot but I did and I love it!

Elf on the Shelf

Love this idea and totally doing it with my boys.  This is my Elf, for Elf on the Shelf, thanks for the idea Racheal :)  Our Elf doesn't have a name but i've had him since 2007...i'm sure Ryan will come up with something weird lol, and we are going to start Dec 1st :)

Here's a little bit about "Elf in the Shelf"

Every day from Thanksgiving until Christmas Eve, each family's scout elf watches over the children and then at night, once everyone goes to bed, the elf flies back to the North Pole to report back to Santa about what activities, good and bad, took place throughout the day. Before the family wakes up each morning, the scout elf flies back from the North Pole and hides. By hiding in a new spot each morning around the house, the scout elf and the family play an on-going game of hide and seek. The Elf on the Shelf explains that elves get their magic by being named. In the back of each book, families have an opportunity to write their elf's name and the date that they adopted it. Once the elf is named, the scout elf receives its special Christmas magic which allows it to fly to and from the North Pole. However, the magic might go if touched, so the rule for The Elf on the Shelf states: "There's only one rule that you have to follow so I will come back and be here tomorrow: Please do not touch me. My magic might go, and Santa won't hear all I've seen or I know." Although families aren't supposed to touch their scout elf, they can talk to it and tell it all their Christmas wishes so it can report back to Santa accurately.

Boys are DONE!

Whew, Ryan and Alex are all set for Christmas!! Ryan is all set for his birthday...there might be an extra thing or 2 later...and part of Alex's birthday is done. A few more presents to go for others and I can start wrapping! - I hate wrapping! :p

Not ready to wake yet.

Alex had been napping for about an hour when he woke up crying, I went to get him and we cuddled for a minute but he wouldn't sit still so I layed him on the chair and he was fine and fell back asleep.  I guess he wasn't quit ready to wake up yet!

Computer Time

Ryan is getting older *sigh* and i'm trying to find more things to keep him and his mind busy.  He's a master at puzzles, loves to, read, color, paint, use stickers...anything.  So now i've started to teach him how to use the computer.....yep the computer.  He's gonna have to learn eventually so why not start now.

I've found a few preschool games on line and he's been doing great with them, he's a fast learner.  This kid is gonna be bored when he gets to kindergarten lol, he's gonna be so far ahead the other kids, or a lot of kids.

Alex might be ahead of the game to since he has an older brother to look up to, he wants to do everything Ryan does.  He likes to sit and watch and check it all out.

Hanging out

Today a friend of mine took our boys down to the Lonsdale Quay, I love going there on holidays or weekends because the bus fare is so cheap.  It's nice to go some where different once in a while too!

It seems like forever to get there, the boys were ansty and just wanted to get there, and so did I.  Once we got there we walked around and then we let the boys loose.  Outside of one of the stores there was a train table....and that was it, the boys were loving it!  They didn't care that they only had cars to play on it and playing on a train table is some serious business!

We wanted to take them to the play area which was literally 10 feet away and we pretty much had to drag them all away from the table, it's like they didn't believe us there was a play area.  Once they realized we actually weren't lying they totally forgot about the train table and were in the play area in no time.

lol, it's a lot of hard work in the ball pit!

If we ever get a bigger place i'm totally going to have a ball pit made, the boys all had a tone of fun and got a good work out.  They would have stayed in there all day if we let them!

After a lot of play and walking around a bit more we headed home.  The boys all enjoyed the ride on the sea bus home and 2 out of 3 passed out on the skytrain.  I love busy days like today, lots of stuff to do and you never get bored :)

Matching!

I can't help it, when I see a shirt, or pants, or something cool for the boys I have to have 2, I have to match them!  Apparently my mother in law does to lol.  She bought the boys matching Thomas shirts!  How adorable are they?!!  SUPER ADORABLE!  hehe! :)
